Kenneth E. Zellmer

CITATION TO ACCOMPANY THE AWARD OF THE DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS TO KENNETH E. ZELLMER First Lieutenant Kenneth E. Zellmer distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot of a C-130B at Song Be, Republic of VietNam on 4 December 1968. On that date, in the midst of a hostile rocket attack, Lieutenant Zellmer airlanded a load of vitally needed supplies to the besieged United States Forces. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Lieutenant Zellmer reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
